On this page I would like to compile a directory of hospitals and/or endocrinologists which are particularly experienced with Addison's. This information, however, must come fron YOU. My experience has shown me that general hospitals do not always have the experience or knowledge to deal with Addison's. Ideally you will post information on the forum here .It is NOT necessary to register or leave your name or e-mail if you do not want to. If you prefer to e-mail please do so.
UK Hospitals Database
I have set up a database on a trial basis.The idea behind this is to provide a resource for those who feel they are not getting sufficient treatment for Addisons. I had 5 years at a local general hospital, which had no facilities for day curve tests and my annual follow-up tests were fairly rudimentary. Although it is inevitable that not every hospital has the resources or expertise of the bigger hospitals with specialist departments, it frustrates me greatly when I realise in retrospect that I was not at least made aware of what facilities could be found only 50 miles away.
If you are getting reasonable treatment locally, then you are lucky! Please help to create this database by adding details of your hospital .
